Perhaps you noticed that the last post was a little rushed, Brandon and Travis are off at cub scout day camp this week so I have no entertainers. Next week will also be busy as my parents and my brother's family are coming and we are having an 80th birthday party for my Grandma (it will be very fun. For the last two months Travis mentions Gigi's party in all our family prayers. He is very excited about it, as we all are). Anyway back to this past week...
We had a great time with Alex's parents, Sister and her family. Of course Ruthann enjoyed meeting them all and Sarah was able to get her to laugh for the first time. The rest of the kids had a great time. Brandon, Travis and Jacob (Travis' age) slept out in a tent in our backyard. They had a wonderful time and especially seemed to enjoy how grownup they felt as we would often look around sometime between 9 and 10pm and realise that they had gone off to bed.
As has become the custom that trip also resulted in a project. This year the task was the front yard. Sarah came with a great plan and as you can see it looks amazing. This is how it looked before we began...

Give the boys dirt and shovels and they are happy for hours. Of course in this case it was actually helpful!

The finished product! Not only a much better looking front but also wonderful memories! Thank you for all your hard work.
